The EZ-PDTMCCG2 controller for cars is certified by the USB-IF (USB Developer Forum) to provide a plug-and-play USB-C user experience for automotive customers. The EZ-PD CCG2 controller is a full-featured, ultra-small-size PD controller that supports all downstream port (DFP) and upstream port (UFP) applications. Because of its powerful performance, it is widely used in personal computers, mobile devices, chargers and electronic tag cables. This programmable controller integrates the Arm® Cortex®-M0 core and 32KB of flash memory with simultaneous read and write capabilities for firmware upgrades, so as the USB Type-C standard continues to evolve, users will be able to keep up with the changes and Address interoperability issues.
The USB Type-C standard is rapidly gaining support from top automotive electronics manufacturers for its slim design, easy-to-use interfaces and cables, and the delivery of multiple protocols and power transmission capabilities up to 100 watts.
