L-com Introduces IP67 Industrial Grade USB 3.0 Cable Assemblies and Coupler New Products

Recently, L-com Global Connectivity ("L-com") announced the launch of a new line of IP67 industrial grade USB 3.0 cable assemblies and couplers for demanding industrial and military communications applications.

These new industrial grade USB 3.0 cable assemblies are specially equipped with ferrules that are resistant to moisture and other contaminants, up to IP67. Other product features of the U3A00058 series include the use of dual shielded cables for maximum EMI/RFI interference protection.

In addition to the U3A00058 series of cables mentioned above, L-com has also introduced a new IP67-class USB 3.0 panel mount through-wall coupler with a Type A male to A female connector. The U3C00031 coupler is used in conjunction with the U3A00058 cable assembly described above to provide IP67 protection (after mating) and also for standard USB 3.0 cable assemblies.

“This type of ruggedized IP67 USB 3.0 cable and coupler is designed for applications where standard USB 3.0 cables and couplers can not be operated due to exposure to harsh environments.
